About the Games – 20th Asian Games
The 20th Asian Games will be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan from 19 September to 4 October 2026. Over 16 competition days, athletes from across Asia will compete in 71 disciplines across 43 sports. As the largest multi-sport event in Asia, it will bring together athletes from 45 countries and regions.

Emblem
The emblem of the 20th Asian Games features a bright red sun – the symbol of the OCA – at its centre, representing the unity and collective spirit of Asia. Smooth curves capture the liveliness of sports. Colored in purple, gold and green, it inspires the image of people coming together as one and moving towards the future. Purple represents iris, the prefectural flower of Aichi; gold depicts Kinshachi, the golden tiger-fish roof ornaments of Nagoya Castle; and green reflects environmental consciousness.
The purple curve and the centre line form the letter "A" for Asia and Aichi, while the purple and gold curves form the letter "N" for Nagoya.
Mascot – HONOHON
HOHOHON was born from the fiery passion that burns in the hearts of athletes, united with Shachihoko – the traditional guardian figure of Aichi-Nagoya. With large eyes and Shachihoko-like ears, HOHOHON watches over the competitions and listens to the cheers for athletes. HOHOHON is curious about everything and works hard at anything it tries. It has a magical ability of producing any sounds it imagines.
The name HONOHON is derived from the word "Honoho", believed to be the origin of the Japanese word for "flame". Its mission is to bring people together through the Asian Games.
